Schizophrenia and Cognition

The Noyes Foundation has built a creative environment in which to investigate various aspects of neuropsychiatric disorders. The majority of our activity is focused on a cluster of activities undertaken in the name of mental health research. For the first time in decades a wide array of clinical research is underway within the context of Norristown State Hospital and branching out into the five counties that comprise the Regional Mental Health Consortium. With this effort comes a renewed hope that novel treatments can be introduced more rapidly, and, even more, that with the array of amazing new technologies major advances will be accomplished toward unraveling the mysteries of schizophrenia and related disorders.

The foundation’s detailed knowledge of the intricacies of clinical research has enabled the development of formal and informal partnerships with academic and industrial groups.  These collaborative efforts have led to a variety of innovative projects.
